If you rely on firewood for heating or just enjoy cozy fires in the winter, timing your supply is key. Here’s what to know about seasonal firewood availability from Penka’s Handyman Services:

Spring/Summer:

This is the best time to order and store firewood. Wood has time to properly season and dry out before winter, which makes it burn more efficiently and with less smoke.

Fall:

High demand starts in October. If you wait too long, you might end up with green or wet wood that’s hard to burn. Order early for best selection.

Winter:

We keep firewood stocked year-round, but winter supplies can run low. If you’re running out, give us a call—we'll do our best to deliver fast.

Storage Tips:

Keep wood stacked off the ground, covered on top (but open on the sides), and away from your home’s exterior to avoid pest problems.
